I Challenge Myself 5K Run/Walk

I'm running to bring fitness, cycling and career readiness to NYC public school students!
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!
When I started I Challenge Myself, 14 years ago, it was to answer one question:
How would training for and participating in a 100-miles 1-day bike tour, as a high school student, impact their perception of themselves and what they could become in the future?
The answer to this question can be summarized by a couple of student reflections:
“It has changed my life. Yes, it has made me healthy but that’s not the point. First year was hard. I had to learn to stick with the team. I learned not to quit. This attitude has changed me. When people quit, my goal is to recruit them back. Tell them they can do it. Because I know they can.” Edward Bonilla. ICM Class of 2012.
“In the beginning, I thought I can do this, not that hard. I was wrong. It was not easy. But in the end, I felt accomplished. I was happy too. It was worth the pain. I realized how important it is to be part of a good cause. My mother’s side, they have diabetes. They are so proud of me.” Carrie Almonte. ICM Class of 2012.
My wish is that you donate to my fundraising campaign today!
Thank you for believing in me and the amazing young people, we serve.
